Ann Dillon Smith, 93, passed on Monday, December 15, 2025. She was born in Haynesvillle, LA, the daughter of Louis Sibley Dillon and Urla Camp Dillon. She was married to the love of her life, Warren Aylmer Smith, for almost 69 years before he passed 3 years ago. She worked in the home as a devoted and beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ann is survived by her daughters, Sandra Smith DeCoursey and Dana Smith, both of Little Rock, as well as her grandchildren, Brigid DeCoursey (Ely) Bondoc, Brett Dillon DeCoursey (Cass), Annie DeCoursey Cavenar (Matt), and Jason Blake DeCoursey (Emily). Ann also leaves 8 great-grandchildren, ages 7 months to 10 years old: Lucy Bondoc, Lex, Jack, and Finn DeCoursey, Owen and Cecilia Cavenar, and Maria and Ada DeCoursey.

Ann was known for her beauty, her sweetness, and her graciousness. She was an avid volunteer and served as an officer in numerous local organizations, such as the DAR, PEO-Chapter I, UWF, UAMS Hospital Auxiliary, and Zeta Tau Alpha. She was a devoted member of the choir at Centenary College in Shreveport, LA, where she earned her BA in Education. Her love of vocal music continued for over 40 years at St. James UMC where she was a longtime member of the Chancel and Bell choirs. She loved reading and was a member of a local book club for almost 50 years.

A memorial service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 16, at St. James United Methodist Church Cottey Parlor. Arrangements are through Smith Little Rock Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to Friends of the Centenary College Choir or the St. James UMC Music Ministry. Please visit www.smithfamilycares.com for the online guestbook.
