Terri Lynn Carter, age 62 of Monticello, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. She was born September 19, 1963, in Dumas, AR to the late Charles Bond ''C.B.'' Morgan and Veleda Mae Donaldson Morgan.

Terri was a graduate from Dumas High School and was a Bobcat cheerleader her junior and senior year. She was a retired secretary with Monticello Intermediate School and a Baptist. Terri loved music and singing, cooking and was an avid Arkansas Razorbacks, Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Braves fan but most of all, enjoyed family get togethers and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved her job and was a perfectionist at everything she did. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Paul Morgan.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dennis Carter of Monticello; children, Daniel Carter and wife Jordan of Monticello and Hannah Morton and husband James of Hamburg; a sister, Robin Collins and husband Bill of Tillar; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Lela Carter of Monticello; a brother-in-law, Mark Carter and wife Michelle of Wilmar; five grandchildren, Saylor, Kai, Samuel, Sutton and Savvy; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2026, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary Carter officiating. There will be a visitation Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Andrews Chapel Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Benton Collins, Bill Collins, Grant Cox, Kenny Cox, Keith Morgan and James Morton. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. You can sign Terri's guestbook registry here on her page.
