Shannon Dinkel, cherished wife, daughter, sister, and mother, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 18, 2026 in Bradenton, Florida. Shannon was born in Lynwood, California on September 19, 1969 to Andrea and Jack. Shannon grew up in Downey, California where she spent her time playing with her younger sister, Jennifer, competing in swim meets, and devoting herself to her academics. Through her upbringing in California, she developed a love for Mexican food and Disneyland. Her mother, Andrea, made sure Shannon attended church from a young age, and Shannon decided to accept Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 11 at church camp. Shannon spent her entire life as a devoted Christian and valued her faith above everything else.
Shannon went on to have 3 children- Evan (who married Caroline), Allison, and Jordan. Shannon was a devoted and loving mother, and raised her children in Las Vegas, Nevada where she enjoyed the warm sun and spending her time at the pool. Shannon adored being a mother, and was eagerly awaiting the birth of her first grand baby from Evan and Caroline, a girl who will be named Daisy. Shannon was passionate about many hobbies, but her favorites included shopping, traveling with her sister, listening to rock music, scuba diving, and teaching spin classes at the gym. It was at EOS gym where she met her sweetheart, Richard Dinkel. Richard and Shannon were married on March 1st, 2017 and went on many adventures together, including Germany, England, and France. Shannon also had a knack for fashion and loved all things pink. Shannon made friends wherever she went: whether it was at the local gym, at church, or at her workplace, Pisanelli Bice. She was very fond of everyone in her life and knew she had many people she could turn to for strength and encouragement.
Shannon wanted to be remembered as someone who loved the Lord, her family, and her friends. When she told people she loved them, she truly meant it. Spending time with the Lord and with the people she cared most about were the most important things to her. While we will miss her here on Earth, we rejoice in knowing that she is in Heaven with her Savior, and we can one day be reunited there with her.
Shannon was buried in Sarasota, Florida at the Sarasota National Cemetery in a small ceremony with family. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00PM on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Reconciled Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered at 3080 S Durango Dr, Unit 105, Las Vegas, NV.
