Shannon Lee Manwarren, 51, of Spencer passed away November 3, 2023, in Waterloo, IA from a cardiac event.
Shannon was born February 4, 1972, in Spencer to Kenneth “Doc” and Val (Tripp) Manwarren. He attended Spencer High School and graduated in 1991 where he met Krista Parks and they married later that year. They welcomed two boys, Tanner and Blake Manwarren. After graduation he began his 17-year career at Manwarren Furniture. Later, Shannon met and married Laura Culbertson in 1997 where he welcomed her daughter Randi. They also welcomed a daughter Madison Manwarren in 1998.
After Manwarren Furniture closed its door, Shannon found his passion for trucking, and has been over the road ever since. He enjoyed riding his Harley whenever he got the chance. He was always one to tell stories on any and everything. Shannon was a fun-loving jokester, yet kind, humble, and above all generous, to everyone he encountered.
His favorite promotion was in 2013 when he became Papa. He loved spoiling them as much as he possibly could. Shannon was looking forward to becoming a grandpa to new baby girl in March 2024.
He is survived by his children, Randi (Kyle) Cook; Tanner (Callie) Manwarren; Blake Manwarren; and Madison (Jordan) Burghart; his mother, Val Manwarren; siblings Jesse (Kassai) Manwarren and Jamie (Angela) Manwarren; grandchildren, Johnny, June, Jack Cook and Baby Manwarren (March 2024) and many other family and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his grandparents Stan and Jean Tripp; Gene and Bonnie Manwarren. His father Kenneth “Doc” Manwarren, cousin Jennie Manwarren; aunt and uncle Ron and Sandy Manwarren.
