Our sweet mom, wife, daughter and best friend returned home Friday, February 9, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the people she loved. Shannon was born October 14, 1984, to Larry and Renee Chapin in Mesa, Arizona. Shannon moved to North Ogden, Utah where she graduated from Weber High School then attended Weber State graduating in 2008 with a Bachelors Degree.

Her formative years were spent ice skating, horseback riding, skiing, snowboarding, and developing a love of the outdoors. Some cherished childhood memories include being with her Grandma Ruth Ellen Chapin, shopping with her Mom, and going anywhere with her Dad. Shannon talked about very special memories of sharing her talents and helping others on the ice. It was truly one of her greatest loves. She was a hard working woman who took pride in her professional success. She made lifelong friends and touched many at her time with Metro Title. Shannon loved music, running and anything outdoors. She took satisfaction in keeping her home clean and tidy.

Her greatest joy in life was being a mother to her three boys. Aiden, Gannon and Nolan were Shannon’s everything. She truly was the epitome of a selfless mother. She never tired of supporting them in everything. She loved coaching, cheering from the sidelines, carpooling to and from countless games and practices. Her life was devoted to her precious sons in every way. Shannon raised strong boys and could often be heard offering words of encouragement. Her favorite sayings were “buck up”, “play hard”, “toughen up” and “you know how much I love you”.

On April 25, 2022 she married the love her life Brent Schultz and blended together their sweet boys. Together as a family they loved dirt biking, football, baseball, soccer, fishing, and hunting. Spending time on the beach at Bear Lake under the sun throwing the football with her boys was a source of pure happiness for her.

In the last 18 months she fought with the most strength, bravery, and determination. Showing others what the definition of grit means. Rest in peace our beautiful angel; we will live every day in memory of you.

Shannon leaves behind her precious boys, Aiden 11, Gannon 9, Nolan 8; her loving husband, Brent who never left her side and his boys, Jantz 8 and Jennings 5; parents,  Larry and Renee Chapin; brother, Jon (Patricia) Chapin; nephews, Caleb, Dillon, and Patrick; grandma, Sandra Williams; uncles, James Chapin and Joe (Gordi) Chapin;  special cousins, Dusti (Bart), Chris (Savana), Tim (Becki), and  Scott; in-law, Lynn and Jana, Jared and Katie, Joni and Dustin, Mark and Camille, Jedd and Amber, Madeline and Mike; and many nieces and nephews who  love her dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 16, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. with sharing of memories until 3 p.m. and mingling until 4 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.

The family would like to express their thanks to everyone who has provided endless support and love during this most difficult time. A special thanks to Interventional radiology and Infusion services at McKay-Dee Hospital, MD Anderson, cancer center in TX, Mayo Clinic in AZ, and countless others who provided medical support and care. To everyone at Metro Title we thank you for the outpouring of love and support that is shown to our family.
