Sharee Diane Brend, 66, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado passed away in her home on June 9, 2025 from natural causes.
Sharee was born on February 17, 1959, in Mayville, North Dakota, Sharee was the daughter of Alwood and Gloria Brend. She graduated from Mayville-Portland High School in 1977 and went on to earn a degree in Business Administration and Marketing from North Dakota State University.
Sharee began her professional journey at Mayville State University before embarking on a distinguished 32-year career with Wells Fargo. Her roles as a Market Relationship Manager and Learning & Development Consultant took her to Sioux Falls, South Dakota; San Francisco, California; and eventually Highlands Ranch, Colorado. After retiring early in 2020, Sharee sought new purpose and completed training to become a Senior Tax Analyst with H&R Block, a role she embraced seasonally until her passing.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Sharee was passionate about financial education. For 18 years, she generously volunteered her time as a presenter of financial literacy workshops and seminars, helping others gain knowledge and confidence in managing their finances.
Known for her radiant smile, joyful spirit, and unwavering integrity, Sharee was deeply loved by all who knew her. Her warmth, intelligence, and compassion left a lasting impact on friends, colleagues, and family alike. Though she lived far from her hometown, Sharee remained closely connected to her family, always eager to share in their lives and milestones.
She is survived by her siblings: Gary (Andrea) Brend of Portland, ND; Mark Brend of Portland, ND; Dawn (Parnell) Amb of Portland, ND; and Anita Olson of Ada, MN. She also leaves behind nine nieces and nephews, 21 great-nieces and nephews, and her dearest lifelong friend, Donalee Strand of Hatton, ND.
Sharee was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jeff (1987), and her brother-in-law Rod Olson (2024).
A graveside gathering to honor Sharee’s life will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at the Perry Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Portland, North Dakota.
