Shari Cicalo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home - Jacksonville on Mar. 12, 2026.
Shari Nell Cicalo, age 65, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away March 9, 2026. She was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on February 7, 1961 to Linda Lou Gilkey and Melvin Charles Dendy.

She is preceded in death by her mom and step-father, Linda Lou and Jerry Gilkey; sister, Kimberly Diane Gatlin; and father, Melvin Charles Dendy.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Cicalo; cousins, Deborah Reed and Lisa Pierce; brothers, Marvin "Chris" Kemp, Jr., Douglas Kemp, and Eddie (Heather) Kemp; sister, LeAnne Ramsey Nee Dendy; sister-in law, Victoria Cicalo; along with numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved and cherished.

Shari was a devoted wife, a beloved sister, sister-in-law, cousin, cherished aunt and friend to many, whose kindness, intelligence, and steady presence touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Shari was a devoted, faithful Christian.

Professionally, Shari was a medical billing manager who took great pride in her work. She was thoughtful, smart, and exceptionally organized, qualities that made her not only respected but deeply trusted. Her coworkers were more than colleagues, they were family. Many looked to her as a mother or a sister, and she was affectionately known throughout the office as "Ms. Shari." She marked birthdays and special occasions with homemade baked goods or lovingly prepared meals, using food as her way of showing care and connection.

Outside of work, Shari found joy in baking and cooking, sharing her talents generously with friends and family. Though she and her husband had no children, her life was rich with friendships, laughter, and meaningful relationships. She was a wonderful aunt who gave her love freely and wholeheartedly.

Shari will be remembered for her warmth, her generosity, her dedication, and the quiet strength she brought into every room. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she nurtured, the friendships she treasured, and the love she so freely gave.
