David Abner Baker

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David Baker, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this life on March 19, 2026, at the age of 77. David was born on May 18, 1948, in Craig, CO to the late Abner & Charlotte (Bulkley) Baker. David was a resident of Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he touched the hearts of many.

David is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Baker, and his children: Glenn Grube, Chris Patrick, Kevin Baker, Chad Odle, Norea Schmollinger, and Tony Norris. He will also be missed by his brothers, Jim Baker and Dan Baker, as well as his sisters, Liz Hanafin, Bernice Willey, Katy Ulrich, and Racheal Akagi. He also leaves to cherish his memory are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. David is also survived by his loving sisters-in-law, Anna Canup, Patti Kimble, Debi Martin and Conni Laughery.

David was preceded in death by: his daughter Becky Claybrook and sister Wilma Baker.

In accordance with David's wishes, his remains will be donated to further the study and understanding of human health and well-being. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a future date. Additional details regarding the time and location will be announced and shared with family and friends.
