David Edmon “Ed” Baker was born May 4, 1958 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Clifford and Catherine (Trass) Baker.

Ed was raised in Des Moines, graduating from East High School. His passion for cars led Ed to spend many years in the paint and auto body business and cars sales. In his spare time, Ed enjoyed fishing, kayaking, motorcycles and old cars. He appreciated eating out, and was a frequent customer of Tasty Tacos and a connoisseur of Code Red Mountain Dew. Ed’s moto was, “No one should ever be hungry!”. Family and friends were his greatest joy, especially when there was a spirited game of UNO or when Ed was cracking jokes.
