Shari Gaye Stone, 66, of McLean, Texas, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas. A Family Directed Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Trinity Church in McLean. Cremation and arrangements are under the care of Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean. Shari was born April 1, 1959, in Amarillo to Bill and Alice Favor Paschal. She married Ricky Leroy Stone on November 10, 2017, in Fort Worth. Before moving to McLean in 2016, she had lived in Amarillo. Shari had a love for life's simple joys. She enjoyed trips to Red River, New Mexico, going gambling, attending NASCAR races, riding the razor in the mud, and eating out with her mother and Ricky. Mondays often meant a stop at McDonald's. She especially loved animals-horses most of all-and never feared being around them. Shari had a gentle spirit, always striving to avoid hurting others and doing all she could to ease their pain. Despite her own struggles, she remained devoted to caring for her mother and showing compassion to those around her. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Ricky Stone of McLean; her daughter, Tiffany Helpert and husband Josh of San Antonio; her stepson, Brandon Stone and fiancée Krista Errington of Amarillo; her brother, William Kent Paschal and wife Dawn of Colorado; one grandchild, Haley Stone; her beloved dog, Murphy; her two best friends who were like sisters, Kathy Lisman and Ruby Kellison; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the ASPCA.
