Sharilee Blaisdell

Sharalee (Varner) Blaisdell passed away in Henderson, Nevada on 3 September 2025, having just celebrated her 75th birthday and after a long struggle with scleroderma.

Shara was born 15 August 1950 in Havre, Montana to June Arlene (Nelson) Varner and Elmer Thomas "Tex" Varner and was the second of eight children.

On 9 July 1977, Sharalee married her sweetheart, Ken D. Blaisdell, in the Los Angeles Temple where they were sealed for time and eternity. Together Shara and Ken have five children and thirteen grandchildren, who love them both dearly. Shara often said, "Being a grandparent is the best thing in the world." Their devotion to one another and their family is a beautiful legacy.

Shara's life is a story of faith, love, and service. For many years, she worked at Culverdale Elementary School in Irvine, California. She was loved there by staff and students alike, especially those students learning English as a second language as she helped them adjust to a new language and a new country.

She was an ever-faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many capacities there. Many remember her as a loving teacher and leader. Her love for others was evident every day and often expressed in cards, letters, gifts, text messages, and phone calls. She had an incredible talent for remembering birthdays of family and many, many lifelong friends.

Shara is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ken; her children Keri Marie (Aaron) Johnston, Jeffrey Michael (Nichole), Misel, Salisha Theresa-Shena, and Brianne Elizabeth; her grandchildren Jada, Joseph, Sophia, Spencer, Kaelyn, Colette, Ashlin, Christian, Finnley, Nixon, William, Wyatt, and Kiera; siblings Kraig, Jex (Leslie), Rick (Joy), Shannan; in-laws Ana and Kristi, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Tex, mother June, brothers Ron, Scott, and Brad, mother-in-law Jerilyn, father-in-law Lee, and sister-in-law Wendy.

Funeral services will be held 11 September 2025 in Henderson, Nevada and on 12 September 2025 in Spanish Fork, Utah.

Interment will be at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery among many of her precious departed family members.
