Sharon Aberts

Sharon Lynn Aberts, 79 of Hampstead, MD was called home on September 5, 2025 with her beloved husband and son by her side. Born September 29, 1945 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Emerson and Margaret (Tawney) Barnes. In 1963, Sharon married her best friend & Husband of 62 years George W Aberts Sr., they have since resided in Hampstead. Sharon retired from Farmers and Merchants Bank as Vice President after a career of 29 years. Growing up she loved roller skating and has always loved Christmas and collecting Santa Clauses. This love for Christmas transpired into her love for planning meaningful gifts for family and close friends. Sharon was also a member of the Hampstead Lioness Club, Women's Club of Hampstead and Christ Lutheran Church in Upperco. In addition to her parents, Sharon is predeceased by her daughter Tracey Christine Aberts at birth. Sharon is survived by her husband George Sr. and their two cherished Cocker Spaniels Molly and Lady, son George Jody W. Aberts Jr. and wife Janet Noel of Hampstead, MD, and brother Ronald Emerson Barnes of Westminster, MD. In addition, grandchildren Ian Tracy Aberts of Seymour, TN, Kristina Free and husband Mason of Hanover, PA and Megan Ayala and husband Alex of Overland, MO, and 5 great grandchildren. The Aberts family will welcome guests for visitation Wednesday, September 10, 2025, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Eline Funeral Home, Hampstead, MD & Thursday, September 11, 2025, 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Christ Lutheran Church, Upperco. Funeral Services will be held in the church sanctuary, following the visitation hour on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 11:00 am, with Pastors Norma and Matt Schenning officiating. Interment will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery with a luncheon of remembrance to follow in the church fellowship hall.
