Sharon Almberg Obituary
Sharon lived in the Teanaway valley near Cle Elum, WA for nearly 30 years, most of which she served as a range rider for local cattle ranchers. She spent most of the day, most every day on her horse and with her dogs keeping the cattle where they were supposed to be. She deeply loved her work, her animals, her friends, and her family.
Sharon is survived by her 3 children Leesa Fookes, Lori Harris, and Shane Fookes, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Swauk-Teanaway Grange Hall 1361 W. Ballard Hill Road, Cle Elum, WA 98922. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Healing with Horses Ranch (https://www.healingwithhorsesranch.org/).

Lori Bill Shane & Lisa and Family...My heart goes out to you in your loss....we never have our parents long enough...Sharon was one of my few besties...we connected in so many ways...Sharon would remind me our friendship was the the longest lasting of all her moves..in her life...Traveling together all those high school rodeos for our kids...I visited 2-3 times in CleElm...riding herding strays, camping a few days in the mountains & riding the range....loved her animal friends & we laughed our time together ...she was an inspiration in living..her faith in the Lord...& life....life was not easy but she had faith & gratitude for what life had delt her....thank you God for her presence in my life....hugs to Sharon´s family Kathy Filkouski. PS. Wished I could be at her celebration of life....wished I could have called more frequently...didn´t realize nor did she imply in our phone conversation she was nearing the end....visited x 2 when was at Bill & Lori´s ....
