She was preceded in death by her daughter Leah Sharese Thornton; parents Calvin Hugh and Macie Irene Barrett.
Survivors include her son Calvin Raymond Thornton of the home; sister Betty Huston of Manassas, Virginia and brother Dwayne Barrett of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Additional survivors include her former husband Reese Thornton, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will host a Celebration of Life Service at a later date.
