Sharon Lynn Bolen, 71, of Daniels, WV passed away peacefully after a sudden illness on June 1, 2023 at CAMC in Charleston, WV. Born November 26, 1951 in Lee County Virginia, however, she was a resident of WV for most of her life and it was here that she called home. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Hildred and Claude Jenkins and an infant sister Charlotte Faye Jenkins. Sharon was of the Christian faith.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Sheryl Treadway of Mabscott and her husband Bryan and Gary Smith of Baton Rouge, LA and his wife Kim. Her 5 grandchildren, Justin Acord and his wife Lindsey of Beaufort, SC; Alexis Neece and her husband Blake of Lebanon, VA; Austin Smith and his wife Rose of Beckley, Dylan Sewell of Morgantown and Jordan Sewell of Huntington. Her dear sisters, Paulette Hill of Piney View and Nellie Seuss and her husband Frank of Oakland, MD; and her baby brother Paul Jenkins of Stanaford. She also had several nieces and nephews and five great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Sharon loved her family dearly and made many friends over the years that she held very close to her heart. She was an avid reader and cherished her Kindle time after she retired. She was a huge Star Trek fan and could quote just about any episode. She spent her days on her computer closely following news and politics. She loved snow more than anything and sent weather alerts to the family as soon as the first flurry was predicted.
Family will receive friends on Friday, June 9th from 5-6 pm at Calfee Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 6 pm.
