Sharon Brean
1939-2023
Sharon Brean, age 84, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023, at Diamond Willow.
Sharon Becker was born on April 1, 1939 in Park Rapids, MN to William and Floteal Becker. She attended Greenway High School in Coleraine. On November 10, 1956, she married Paul Brean in Marble, MN. They settled in Coleraine, where she dedicated herself to raising her family. Sharon was a talented crafter and seamstress, known for sewing her daughters' clothes. She continued sewing until her eyesight began to decline. Cooking and baking were also passions of hers, and she delighted in preparing meals for her loved ones-especially her famous sloppy joes and banana cream pie. As a devoted mother and homemaker, she cherished her role and took joy in caring for and loving her grandchildren. Sharon also taught religious education classes at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church. For 30 years, Sharon and Paul enjoyed spending their winters in California and later Arizona.
Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Paul; parents, William and Floteal; grandson, Lt. Adam Gustafson; brothers, William Jr., and Romes. She is survived by her daughters, Tami (Jeff Snyder) Gustafson, Tucson, AZ, Kim (Mike) Jones, Grand Rapids, MN, Pamela Cleveland, Rochester, MN; seven grandchildren: Christopher (Ann) Gustafson, Eric (Nadia) Gustafson, Ryan (Katie) Jones, Brenden Jones, Bre (Riley) Savolainen, Jared (Michaela Dexter) Cleveland, and Kylee (Chris) Weiss; granddaughter-in-law, Amber Gustafson; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Darlene (Bob) Laudenbach, Joyce Frings, and Bonnie (Dave) Shafer, all of Grand Rapids, MN; and brothers, Valdy Becker, Gary (Debbie) Becker, and Randy Becker, all of Grand Rapids, MN.
Private burial will take place at a later date.
