Sharon Briscoe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by H.T. May & Sons Funeral Home on Jan. 25, 2026.
Sharon Briscoe, 78, of Boonville, MO, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Caring Hearts and Hands Hospice House in Columbia. Services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Boonville. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home on Saturday.

Sharon was born on August 26, 1947, in Boonville, Missouri, to Larkin Adams and Leona Mae Rennison. She spent her life rooted in the community she called home and was known for her quiet strength, steady presence, and devotion to her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, William "Butch" Briscoe of Boonville; her children, Bobbi Hendricks of New Franklin, Missouri, Stephanie Rice of Kansas City, Missouri, Dawn Whitehead of Boonville, Kobe Krout (Wendy Young) of Boonville, Dawnetta Briscoe of Boonville, and Shawn Briscoe of Phoenix, Arizona; her sister, Wanda Brown of Sedalia, Missouri; and a host of grandchildren, extended family members, and friends.

Sharon enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved reading books, working on diamond paintings, and spending time with crossword puzzles-activities that brought her both peace and joy. She was also a dedicated bus monitor for Boonville Public Schools, where she cared deeply for the children she looked after each day.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Shawn Rice and great grandchild Mordecai Whitehead.

Sharon will be remembered for her kindness, her love for her family, and the quiet ways she showed care for those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
