Sharon K. Brown passed away peacefully on March 16,2026 at the Lund Hospice Home in Gilbert, AZ.

Sharon was born on Sept. 10, 1943, to RJ and Francis (Ewing) Stevens in Albuquerque NM.

Sharon started riding horses at the age of 3. Her family owned and trained racing horses. She was one of the few women, or "Pony Girls," on the professional thoroughbred and quarter horse racing circuit.

Sharon married Randy Brown in 1967. To this marriage their son, Lonnie, was born. They enjoyed the Wyoming outdoors, fishing, and camping every weekend before hunting season started.

Sharon and Randy started Brown's Taxidermy Service in Casper, Wyoming. The Browns also started Wyoming Trophy Outfitters, Inc. Randy was the outfitter and guide while Sharon kept the Taxidermy shop open. Their hunters became lifelong friends. Every year the Browns traveled to Pennsylvania to attend the world's largest 9-day sports show. Their hunts were booked out 2 years in advance.

Sharon also had her own business, Busy Bee Painting, and for 25 years she loved painting customers' homes.

After retiring they moved to Gilbert, AZ. Sharon enjoyed playing cards, yard and gardening work, happy hours, casinos, reading, and Netflix movies. Sharon enjoyed traveling and was so happy to take her last trip to Las Vegas to visit The Sphere with the Trilogy Fun Savers Club.

If you knew Sharon, you know she loved the color teal, southwest decor, and country music.

After almost 20 years in at Trilogy, Sharon made the decision to move to Verena Senior Living in Gilbert. She was very happy there and made new friends. Because of Sharon's generous heart, she is leaving her estate to the Make A Wish Foundation, St. Jude Hospital, the Dementia Foundation, and Alzheimer's Foundation.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents RJ and Francis, her brother Ricky, her son Lonnie, and her husband Randy.

"Ride high Pony Girl," you are loved and missed.
