Mrs. Sharon Stephens Collett, age 78, passed away in Tazewell, TN August 27, 2025. Born on December 10, 1946, in Atlanta, GA. to

Curtis and Ora Mae Slusher Stephens who proceed her in death.

She spent a lifetime of love and companionship with her beloved husband of 63 years, Rafe E. Collett. Throughout her life, Sharon was a testament to Christian values, teaching Sunday School, Girls in Action (G.A.s), and Acteens with a gentle and guiding hand. As a pastor's wife she embraced her role with grace and enthusiasm, dedicating herself to serving the Lord and supporting her husband's ministry.

Sharon is preceded in death by her husband Rafe E. Collett, daughter Angela Collett Gipson, mother Ora Mae Slusher Stephens, sister, Phyllis Early, and in-laws,

Lawrence and Margie Collett and father Curtis Stephens.

She is survived by her son Richard Collett and wife Julie, daughter Rebecca Overholt and husband Eddie.

Sharon's legacy is continued through her adoring grandchildren, Amber Gipson, Madison Dinkelmann and her husband Ian, Elliot Collett and his wife Elizabeth, Dalton Collett and his wife Olivia, Amielia Sealover and her husband Richard, and Tyler Overholt and his wife Taylor. Her great-grandchildren, Chloe Gipson, Abbie Collett, Sofie Collett, Mila Dinkelmann, Emerson Collett, Crew Collett, Ryder Collett, Sylvia June Collett, Aida Ray Collett, and Harper Sealover, will grow up hearing stories of their great grandmother's love and faith. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Joseph E. Early, Sr. and nephew Joseph E. Early, Jr.

Sharon's love for working in the church was matched only by her passion for her family. She was a loving wife, a nurturing mother, a doting grandmother, and a cherished great-grandmother. Her presence was comfort and her guidance a compass for those fortunate enough to know her.

As we bid farewell to Sharon, we hold tight to the memories she has etched in our hearts. Her unwavering faith, her boundless love, and her commitment to her family and faith will continue to inspire those she has left behind. Sharon's life was a beautiful reflection of the Christian values she held dear, and her legacy will endure through the lives of those she loved. Though she has passed from this earthly realm, her spirit will forever remain a guiding light to her family, her friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
