Mr. Jimmy Dean Simpson, age 60 of Tazewell, TN was born in Middlesboro, Ky on December 22, 1964, and passed away at his home on August 24, 2025, with his loving family by his side. Jimmy retired from Sams Transmission in Middlesboro after 25 years of service.
He loved auto mechanics and Die Cast. He was preceded in death by his parents: Jim and Joyce Simpson.
He is survived by his wife: Amy Simpson of 16 years.
Children: Ashley Barnett and Jeremy
Kelly Lynn Martin
Joey Elliott and Janie
Natasha Pass and Jeff Long
Stephanie Lee and Elmer Lee
Brother: Anthony Simpson and wife Sunny
Sister: Priscilla Simpson
16 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren
Several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 5PM till 7PM with funeral services to follow at 7PM in the Claiborne ~ Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earl Daniels and Rev. Charles Bush officiating. Music will be provided by Lois Mize and church.
Burial will be on Friday, August 29 at 11AM in the family Homestead cemetery.
Pallbearers: Jeremy Barnett, Joey Elliot, Jeff Long, Chris Cameren, Elmer Lee and Stacy Barnett
