Amanda Michelle Blue Simpson,45, born on August 17, 1980, in Sandersville, Georgia, quietly departed this world at her residence in Louisville Thursday, September 4, 2025. She was known for her unwavering love for her family and the avid role she played as a homemaker. Amanda dedicated her life to creating a warm and welcoming environment for her loved ones, prioritizing her family above all.

A proud graduate of Washington County High School in 1998, Amanda's life took a beautiful turn shortly after graduation when she met the love of her life. Their whirlwind romance culminated in marriage on November 12, 1998. Together, they embarked on a journey filled with love, laughter, and the beautiful challenges of raising their four children. The joy of motherhood brought Amanda immeasurable happiness, and her children truly meant the world to her.

Throughout her life, Amanda was known for her vibrant personality and love for life. Before experiencing profound loss, she exuded a happy-go-lucky spirit that resonated with those around her. She had a great capacity for love, not only for her family but also for animals, especially cats. With an open heart, she often welcomed stray cats into her home, at one time caring for nearly 30 furry companions.

Amanda enjoyed several hobbies and interests that brought her joy. She was a devoted collector of blow molds, frog figurines, decorations, and scented candles. Her love for the outdoors, shopping, and traveling to the beach showcased her zest for life. She cherished every moment spent with her family, forming memories that will be forever treasured.

Sadly, Amanda's life changed significantly after the unexpected loss of her beloved daughter, Rachel, in November 2024. This devastating event deeply affected her, leading to a profound change in her emotional well-being. Struggling with grief, Amanda became a homebody, her energy sapped by the sorrow she carried. This heartbreaking journey ultimately culminated in her untimely passing, a reminder of the enduring impact of love and loss.

Amanda is survived by her devoted husband, Christopher Eugene Simpson; her loving children, Jeremy, Raygan, and Grayce; her brother, Jeffrey Blue (Candace); her father-in-law, Danny E. Simpson; brothers-in-law, Johnathan Simpson and Joshua Simpson; along with other extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Rachel Simpson, and her parents, Betty “Gail” Cheeley Blue and Jeffrey Lamar Blue.

A visitation in honor of Amanda will be held on September 12, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at James Funeral Home in Wrens, Georgia. During this time, family and friends are invited to celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the lasting impact she had on all who knew her.

Amanda Michelle Blue Simpson will forever be remembered for her boundless love, nurturing spirit, and the joy she brought to her family and friends.
