Sharon Collins Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beeler-Gores Funeral Home on Mar. 18, 2026.
Sharon Lynne Collins, age 85, of Middleville, Michigan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 16, 2026.

Sharon was born on May 24, 1940, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Harold and Ethel (Andree) Moomey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Colleen Wells; her brother, Richard Moomey; her sister, Kathleen Ryman; her grandsons, Gary Collins and Anthony Collins; and her life partner, Lyle Newton.

Sharon is survived by her loving family: her daughter, Lori Fenstemaker of Hastings, her son, Patrick (Shelia) Collins of Middleville, her daughters, Kathy (Ed) Fischer of Middleville, and Diane (Rick) Dawson of Dowling; and her cherished brother, Mike Moomey. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will miss her dearly.

Sharon worked for many years at Flexfab Corporation, where she later retired. She enjoyed bowling, and spending time at the American Legion Post 45. Above all, she loved her family and cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards and cooking, especially her homemade chicken and noodles.

Sharon's family would like to extend a special thanks for all the wonderful care their mother received from the staff at Thornapple Manor and Elara Caring Hospice.

Sharon's family will receive friends on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at the Beeler-Gores Funeral Home, Middleville from 12:00-2:00 PM. Please visit www.beelergoresfuneral.com to share a memory or leave a condolence message for Sharon's family.
