Funeral services for Sharon Cook, age 87, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2026, at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue, in Norfolk. Reverend Randall Coffin will officiate, with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Sharon died Monday, March 2, 2026, at Wakefield Health Care Center in Wakefield, Nebraska.

Family requests casual attire be worn to the service.

Sharon Ann Cook, daughter of Stanley and Bess (Davis) Griffith, was born June 25, 1938, at Carroll, Nebraska. Sharon graduated from Randolph High School and attended Northeast Community College. On July 16, 1955, she was united in marriage to Richard Cook at the Methodist Church in Watertown, South Dakota. They were blessed with five children, Vaughn, Ricky Joe, Mark, Kim, and Penny.

Sharon lived in Washington for a time and returned to Nebraska residing in Carool and later Norfolk. Sharon was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a 25-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Sharon is survived by her children, Vaughn (Laurie) Cook of Minden, Ricky Joe Cook of North Bend, Mark (Hester) Cook of Ohio, Kim (Paul) Sok of Winside, and Penny Gutshall of Arizona; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Cook; parents, Stanley and Bess Griffith; adopted sister, Donna Beaudette; and niece, Darla Cook.
