Sharon Kay Davis Cutting passed away into the arms of Jesus at the age of 85 on December 30, 2025 in Tyler, TX with her children by her side and in the hearts and prayers of many.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Steven Cutting and Bradley Cutting; grandchildren, Lauren Cutting and Barrett Cutting Rowland; and three siblings, Reva Warne, Ronald Davis and Janet Powell.
Sharon was born July 19, 1940 in Ellsworth, Kansas, to the late Ralph & Clara Davis. She was raised in Salina, KS and ultimately in 1979 made her home in Texas and Oklahoma. She spent the last 14 years in Canton, TX. Sharon worked in hotel management/hospitality as well as finance for most of her life. She enjoyed slots at casinos, road trips, gardening, thrifting, word puzzles, playing games, spending time with family, friends and embroidering.
Sharon was a woman of deep faith and a member of the Lutheran Church. Her favorite scripture was John 3:16. Sharon will be remembered for so many things including her generosity, her laugh, smile, positivity, funny and quick personality, courage, faith, selflessness, Mickey Mouse collection, determination and the love and devotion to her family, friends and her fur babies.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Cutting of Canton; son and daughter-in-law, Brian & Rachael Cutting of Rockwall; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry & Patricia Davis of Colorado; grandchildren, Stephanie Cypert, Matthew Cutting, Haley Parrott, Payton Cutting, and Rachel Cutting Gravenkemper; great-grandson, Landon Cypert; and many relatives and friends.
The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date and time. She will be laid to rest at Holly Springs Cemetery, Ben Wheeler, TX.
