Sharon Drummond Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, Inc. on Mar. 9, 2026.
Sharon Drummond, affectionately known to all as "Debbie," entered eternal rest at her home on March 4, 2026. She was 69 years old.Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on March 28, 1956, Debbie was the daughter of the late James Oscar and Viola Catherine Barger. A proud graduate of Patapsco High School, Debbie dedicated over 30 years of professional service as a Legal Secretary to the family law firm Kaufman, Ries & Elgin, P.A.
Debbie was a woman of vibrant passions and immense creativity. She famously transformed a bedroom into her own "Michaels" craft store, where she spent countless hours designing intricate wreaths for her favorite holiday, Christmas. Her "need for speed" began in her youth, working on and racing fast cars-a passion that evolved into a lifelong love for drag racing. She could often be heard cheering her favorite refrain: "It's Bristol, Baby!"
Her greatest joy was her family-both the one she was born into and the one she chose. As the ultimate "sports grandma," she was always on the sidelines with her camera, turning action shots of the kids into custom shirts and prints. Her home and heart were always open; she was a second mother to many of her daughter's friends as they grew up and leaves behind a host of bonus children and grandchildren who she loved as her own.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Viola Barger; her brother, George Barger; and her grandson, Colby Boyd.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Kelly Barger and her fiancé Tyrell Clarke; her brother, Kevin Barger; and her sister, Terri Wilmoth and husband John. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Breana Shearin, Malik Boyd, and Brandon Parks. She is also survived by her "Sweetheart Sunshine" great-granddaughter, Zy'aira Harris; her nephew, Michael Wilmoth; her niece, Nicole Burton; and two great-nephews and one great-niece Debbie. She loved her daughter's friends as her own, and their children were such a part of her heart that they were her bonus grandchildren in every way that mattered.

Visitation will be held at the family owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, Inc., 7922 Wise Ave. on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will begin at 7 PM. Interment, Private.
