Sharon Deem Gilbert, 79, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family who loved her deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bernice Deem, special Aunts, Pearl Powell and Ruby Brewer and her niece, Tracy Mason.

Sharon is survived by her brothers, Roger Deem and Darrell (Cherie) Deem; nephews, Charles (Carla) Deem and Ed Deem; niece, Sandy (John) Vincent; great-nieces and nephews, Nathan (Liza) Vincent, Zac (Abbi) Deem, Andrew (Kelsey) Vincent, Hunter Mason, Sierra Mason, Eriq Gulley, Erika (Britton) Stevens, and Jadon Deem. She also leaves behind four beloved great-great nephews who brought her so much joy.

Sharon will be remembered as a kind, generous, and compassionate woman who found great joy in giving to others. Her heart was especially tender toward animals. She had a special love for Chihuahuas, and those who knew her will smile at the thought of her now reunited with her cherished companions, Tori and Nikki, who have already crossed the rainbow bridge.

In her younger years, Sharon loved attending country music concerts and collecting memories from her favorite performers. She was a dedicated and loyal employee of the Bureau of Public Debt, where she worked for 35 years, forming lasting friendships along the way.

Those who knew Sharon will remember her for her big heart, gentle spirit, and quiet acts of generosity that touched so many lives. Heaven has surely gained a kind soul—and her lap will once again be full with the dogs she loved so dearly.

Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home in Vienna. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service on Saturday. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society of Parkersburg.
