Sharon D. Goby, 75, of New Haven, CT, passed away peacefully on Friday May, 16, 2025, at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Sharon was born in Bridgeport, on March 30, 1950, the youngest daughter of her loving parents, the late Joseph and Sophie (Ginsberg) Goby. Sharon graduated from The University School (Class of 1968) and earned her Associate Degree at Grahm Jr. College (Class of 1971). Sweet Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandson, Michael. She was a faithful watcher of the long-running soap opera, General Hospital. She also enjoyed going to music and Tai Chi classes at The Towers. Sharon is survived by her devoted "Big Sis", Marcia (Goby) Cohen, and her two nieces, Joyce Cohen, of Alexandria, VA, and Rebecca Cohen, of Boston, MA. Also survived by her grandson, Michael Higgins, and daughter, Stacey (Schacht) Higgins, of West Haven, CT. A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 1pm at Loyalty Cemetery (172 Burroughs Road Fairfield, CT).
