Greenbaum, Sharon Laura

94, of Tampa, Florida passed away January 2, 2026. Born on July 7, 1931 in the Bronx, she lived in and around New York City; Providence, Rhode Island; and Indianapolis, Indiana before moving to Tampa in 2001. Sharon was a proud graduate of Hunter College in New York City. For 20 years, Sharon lovingly taught first grade. She enjoyed roses, live theater, a good pun, Scrabble, and attending USF basketball games. She is survived by her son, Steven (Judy); beloved grandchildren, Joel (Stephanie) and Bryan (Delaney); great-granddaughter, Eliana; adored nieces, Amy and Bonnie; and sister-in-law, Maddie. Deepest gratitude to Renee Holt, Sharon's priceless health care manager. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Kurt Greenbaum; her parents, Joseph and Beth Rothman; her adored uncle, Isidore Kolsky; and her brother, Nathan Rothman. Graveside services will be held in New York City. In lieu of gifts, flowers or food, memorial donations may be made to the USF Foundation in support of WLP/Sharon Greenbaum Endowed Scholarship (893045) or Judy Genshaft Endowed Honors College Dean Fund (176039) and directed to the attention of Beth Corbin in the Office of Donor Relations at 4202 East Fowler Avenue, ALC 100, Tampa, FL 33620-5455.
