She was a lifelong scholar, having graced the halls of Hunter College in Manhattan, where her passion for learning was ignited. Further quenching her thirst for knowledge, Ayva pursued a degree in Criminal Justice at John Jay College in September 2004. Her academic journey culminated in a Bachelor of Science from the University of the State of New York in January 1990, a testament to her unwavering dedication and intellect.

Her career was marked by a commitment to excellence and service, as evidenced by her certification from The Methodist Hospital School of Medical Technology in 1989.
