Sharon McCord Hunt, 76 of Ewing, Kentucky passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025 at the Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky.
She was born Feb 7, 1949 in Cowan, Kentucky a daughter of the late Everett "Hamp" McCord and Wilma Ritchie McCord.
Sharon was a 1967 graduate of Fleming County High School and a member of the Battle Run Christian Church. She enjoyed crocheting, working crossword puzzles, working in her garden and with her flowers, canning but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Douglas Duncan, one sister, Janet Lynn McCord, grandson, Nathan Gilkerson and an infant grandson.
Survivors includes her husband Alvin Hunt; three sons, Chuckie (Mary) Hunt of Ewing, James Duncan also of Ewing and Jeff Duncan of Morehead, Kentucky; three daughters, Melinda Peck of Elizaville, Peggy (Chris) Gilkerson of Carlisle, Kentucky and Julie Shannon of Ewing, Kentucky; two brothers, Gary Lane (Bobbie Jean) McCord of Cowan and Phillip (Tara) McCord of Fairview, Kentucky; twelve grandchildren and sixteen grandchildren, five nephews and two nieces; also several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home with Brother Mike Burnett officiating.
Sharon will be laid to rest in the Elizaville Cemetery.
Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. on Friday December 5, 2025 at the funeral home.
Casket bearers will be Alvin Bradley Hunt, Tyler Dean Hunt, Cody Hunt, Jacob Fryman, Jacob Duncan, and Ethan McCord.
Honorary casket bearers will be Gary McCord Jr., Shad McCord, Scott McCord, Shane McCord, Ashley McCord, Chris Worthington, Chris Gilkerson, Gary Bohannon, Adam Shannon and Levi Polley.
