Sharon Little Hurd, after a long battle with cancer, passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 79. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Sharon lived well, laughed often, and loved much. For many years, she dedicated herself to managing the family business, Hurd’s Auto and Truck Service in Glen Burnie.
Outside of work, Sharon found joy in her hobbies, which included playing bridge, crocheting, and card making. However, her greatest passion was vacationing with her family. These trips created countless cherished memories that her family will always cherish.
Sharon was the matriarch of her family, a fun- loving mother to her children — Lawrence, Stephanie, and Cindy. She was also a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren: Brittany, Ashlee, Tyler Niko, Delaney, Nicholas, Gavin, and Sophia. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit, reflecting her boundless affection and wisdom. As a great-grandmother to Tucker, Raelynn, Mila, Gunnar, and Luca, Sharon continued to inspire love and togetherness, nurturing the next generation with her warmth.
Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmy; son, Jamie; and parents, Dorothy and James Little, who also welcomed her into eternal rest.
As we grieve the loss of Sharon, we remember her as a strong woman, who spoke her mind, whose legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held in her honor on January 17, 2026, starting at 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM. Both services will take place at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services P.A. in Glen Burnie, MD. Sharon Little Hurd will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, whose impact on those she loved is immeasurable. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sharon’s name may be made to SPCA of Anne Arundel County at https://aacspca.org/
