Sharon Marie Kallroos

Sharon Marie Kallroos, 87, of Tenstrike, MN died Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Sanford Health Trillium Care Center.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, December 5, 2025 at the New Salem Lutheran Church in Bemidji, MN with Rev. Terry Hagenson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are with the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.
Sharon was born on November 12, 1938, in a cozy cabin at her family's resort, Hendrick's Haven, near Tenstrike, Minnesota. Growing up as the daughter of Theodore "Ted" and Edna (Lokken) Hendricks, she learned early the value of hard work, hospitality, and laughter. She attended school in Blackduck and proudly graduated from Blackduck High School.
On September 14, 1957, Sharon married the love of her life, Roger Kallroos, in Hines, Minnesota. Shortly after, they began an adventure together in Germany while Roger served in the U.S. Armed Forces, making a home there for 18 months and creating memories that lasted a lifetime. When they returned to the United States, they spent time in Tacoma, Washington, before settling in Crystal, Minnesota. Sharon worked in the Admissions office at Hennepin Vo-Tech, where she spent 10 years helping students begin new chapters in their lives before retiring in 2000. Not long after, she and Roger returned to her roots in Tenstrike and took over Hendrick's Haven Resort. Together, they poured their hearts into the resort and lovingly welcomed guests until 2022.
An excellent fisherwoman, Sharon was a true master on the water and in the kitchen. She knew how to guide, catch, clean, and fry fish to perfection, and many happy gatherings were built around her cooking and her easy, joyful presence. She also loved trips to the casino, traveling with Roger, tending her flower gardens, and bowling, including in local leagues. More than anything, Sharon will be remembered for her unforgettable spirit. She was outgoing, unique, and truly one of a kind. She was the life of the party, always ready with a story, a joke, and a warm smile, and her big heart made everyone around her feel welcome and loved. Her legacy lives on in the memories she created and the many lives she brightened along the way.
She is survived by her: Husband, Roger Kallroos of Tenstrike, MN,
Daughter, Robin (Steve) Gipson of Tenstrike, MN,
Grandson, Nicholas (Abigail) Gipson of Ft. Campbell, KY,
and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son Jay Kallroos.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
