Sharon Kay Chackan Freeman

Sharon Kay Chackan Freeman, 74 of Acme passed away on March 3, 2025 in Independence Health Westmoreland Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 10, 1951 in Mount Pleasant to the late Gay and Hazel Keslar Chackan. Sharon was a graduate of Mount Pleasant Area High School, class of 1969. She had been previously employed by the former Gallatin Bank and Chackan's Tractor Sales of Acme. She spent her final years as a homemaker. Sharon is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jim Freeman of Acme; her daughter, Angie Wolk of Acme; her son, Michael Freeman and his wife Danielle of Stahlstown; her grandchildren, Megan and John Wolk of Acme and Kayla Romesburg; her sisters, Brenda Ansell ( Andy) of Acme, Denise Kalp of Acme and Lisa McCleary ( Kevin) of Parkersburg, WV and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, Adam Wolk in 2004. As per Sharon's wishes, there will be no public viewing. A Memorial Service will be held at the Paradise Church on Sunday March 9, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Mark Heckman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity in memory of Sharon Kaye Freeman.
