Sharon Koeltzow Obituary

SHARON KOELTZOW
December 24, 1955 ˜ August 4,
2023

Sharon had many passions, especially family, friends, and organic gardening. She also enjoyed photography, biking, hiking, walking, dancing, the beach, and the mountains. Her connection with God was greatest while in (you guessed it) the garden.

Sharon was born and raised in Eugene, OR, lived briefly in Springfield and Corvallis, and settled in Vancouver, WA. She graduated from North Eugene High. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Sharon transitioned from this life after a brave nine-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Sharon loved (and was loved by) many. She leaves behind her husband of nearly 41 years, David; daughters, Amanda and Mikayla; brothers, Gary and Jeff; other relatives, and most of her friends. She hopes to be welcomed in heaven by her grandmother, Esther; parents, Tad and Wilma; and other friends and relatives.

I have sweet memories of Sharon´s radiant smile during David´s visits with her at The Hampton, where my husband Mike has lived for the past two years. I was sad to learn belatedly yesterday of Sharon´s passing and memorial service (I was traveling at the end of July and then quarantined with repeating COVID for three weeks). I send David and the rest of Sharon´s family heartfelt wishes for comfort in this time of difficult loss.
