Michael Austin Lee, 80, of Cottage Grove, Oregon, passed away March 9, 2026, at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend.

Mike was born June 25, 1945, in Vancouver, Washington to Ray and Ruby (Goings) Lee. Mike served his country with honor in the United States Army for 35 years, retiring as a Colonel. He also built a career in clinical research, serving as Director of Clinical Research. Mike and his wife co-owned PRO Research in Eugene, Oregon.

Mike shared his life with his beloved wife, Judy K. Good (Clewell). He is survived by his daughter, Lindsey-Shannon Lee (Mackenzie Parks); Judy's children, Ryan Good (Sarrah Good) and Michelle Norbin (Andrew Norbin); and grandchildren Eleanor and Dorothy Good and Mia Norbin.

Mike found great joy in nature. He was an avid bird watcher and bird photographer and loved spending time along the Oregon coast. He also loved taking his Jeep up forest roads into the hills, enjoying adventures and beautiful views, and spending time together with family.

As a husband and father, Mike was wise and passionate. His daughter shared, "I couldn't have asked for a better father." He lived a full and meaningful life and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

In accordance with Mike's wishes, no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to the Cascades Raptor Center in Eugene, Oregon.
