Sharon Leach Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home & Crematory - Bayside Chapel on Feb. 2, 2026.
Sharon Leach, age 79, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2026, with her husband, Chuck Leach, by her side.

Sharon was born on December 8, 1946, to David G. Smith and Elizabeth A. Kimes. She spent her life bringing warmth, joy, and kindness to those around her, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and hard work.

Sharon was a longtime and faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, where she found comfort in her faith and community.

Sharon was a dedicated business owner who proudly operated her own nail salons, first known as "Fanci Nails" and later as "Nails by Sharon." Through her work, she touched countless lives, building lasting relationships with clients and friends throughout the community.

She had a spirited personality and a passion for life. Sharon loved NASCAR racing, watching football as a devoted San Francisco 49ers fan, and used to enjoy street rodding in their previously owned 1940 Ford with her husband. She also loved baseball and could always be counted on to cheer for her favorite teams.

Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Chuck Leach; her children, Lance Leach (Lindsay), Gregory Havens (Tracy), and Melissa Kuncho; and her cherished grandchildren, Erik Leach (Carmen), Taylor Graham (Celine), Spencer Kuncho (Nina), Jesse Havens, Rayne Leach, and Matthew Leach.

She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Grayson Leach, Leia Kuncho, and Vivianne Graham.

Sharon is further survived by her mother-in-law, Marian Bryant, her brother, Robert Smith (Teresa), and Lorrie Respess (Mike), her niece, Beth Kinard (Tim), her nephew, Matthew Lund (Stephanie), and many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, David G. Smith and Elizabeth Amos Kimes; her sister, Phyllis Lund, and her brother-in-law, Charles Lund; her brother, Michael Smith; and her niece, Theresa Dyer.

The family will be available for visitation from 4-5pm on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, located at 1457 Independence Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23455. A service will then begin at 5pm in the funeral home chapel.
