Sharon Rose Long, 73, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away on August 24, 2025, in Sterling City, Texas.

She was born on January 21, 1952, in San Angelo, Texas, to parents Edward James Clark and Mattie Corene Clark.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Mitzi M. Long Walter; her sister, Valerie Clark Wells; and her brothers, Michael Douglas Clark and James Clyde Clark.

She is survived by her sons, Brian (Michelle) Long, Michael (Tisha) Long, and Phillip (Selena) Long; and her brother, Matthew Clark. Sharon was a proud "Maw" to eight grandchildren-Dylan Walter, Allison Walter, Tyler Long, Kody Keeling, Garret Long, Ashlyn Long, Sarah Long, and Blake Long-and two great-grandchildren, Carsyn McGuffin and Reagan Adames.

Sharon's greatest joy was her family, and she will be remembered for the love, strength, and kindness she shared with everyone who knew her.

A visitation memorial will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Shaffer Funeral Home on Sherwood Way, with the family present

.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Sterling City Nursing Home for the care and love they showed our mother, and to Interim Hospice and Health Care for their support and compassion during her final days.

When life on Earth has ended,

And my work below is done,

I'll meet my Lord and Savior,

And hear Him say, "Well done."

Though parting brings us sorrow,

And tears may often fall,

We'll meet again in Heaven.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Sterling City Nursing Home in Sharon's honor.
