Sharon H. McCarroll, age 83 of Columbiaville, died Sunday, January 4, 2026. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place.
Sharon was born in Flint, MI on May 16, 1942 to Carl and Shirley Smith. She raised leader dogs for the blind for many years and enjoyed watching sports and baking cakes. Sharon loved spending time with her family and she never missed her grandchildren’s sporting events or concerts. She also liked spending time with her neighbors, who were more to her than just neighbors. Sharon was a very caring and giving person and would give the shirt off her back to help anyone in need.
She is survived by her children: Lisa (Cory) Hendrickson and Keith (Dawn) McCarroll; grandchildren: Caleb McCarroll, Josh (Krystalle) McCarroll, Joshua (Diamond) Parrett, Noah McCarroll, Austin (Mariah) Hendrickson, and Logan Hendrickson; great-grandchildren: Suzie, Summer, and Silas; and brother, Clark (Karen) Smith, and her beloved cat Trudy. She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Merv” McCarroll; sister, Deloris Skinner; and her parents.
