Sharon Ann (Shedy) Ready McElroy, 72, was born to Willie and Pauline Ready of Prichard, AL. She left us unexpectedly on August 24, 2025.

Sharon was a longtime resident of Mobile and was currently residing in Spanish Fort. She was a graduate of Davidson High School, and she retired from Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.

On January 15, 1971, Sharon married her childhood sweetheart, J. Keith Norsworthy, and they created a beautiful family together.

Sharon is survived by her children, Amanda (Jason) Knapp of Silverhill and Scott (Brittany) Norsworthy of Daphne; her grandchildren, Brooke and Kenzlie Knapp, Tyler, Gaven Caleb, Jaxon, Krews and Wells Norsworthy; her great-grandchildren, Emrie and Elle Luker and Atlas Bender; her brother, John Ready; niece, Shannon Ready; along with other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary McElroy; her grandson, Collin Knapp; siblings, Bubba, Paulette and Ken Ready; and one of her very best friends, Carmen Krouter.

To know Sharon was to love her. Those big brown eyes and her gorgeous smile were unforgettable. She was always ready for a good time with her girlfriends; "The 3 Amigos", Sharon, Loretta and Carmen. Only the three of them knew the true stories.

Memories will forever be of Sharon singing and dancing. She sang until her last days. The love she showed her family will forever be with them. She loved Jesus and Alabama Crimson Tide Football. Can we get a big Roll Tide??

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL. There will be a time of visitation beginning at 2PM, with the service to follow at 3PM.

Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, is assisting the family.
