Sharon Middleton Obituary

BRISTOL

Born on September 24, 1947, to Augustine and Irene (Guerrette) O'Connor, Sharon lit up every room she entered. Her unwavering devotion to her family and friends defined her life and left an indelible mark on all who knew her. A 1965 graduate of Bristol Central High School, Sharon went on to attend the National Academy of Hairdressing. She later became a proud, self-employed business owner, operating Sharon's Snip & Style, where her creativity, skill, and warmth endeared her to clients and friends alike. On May 4, 1968, Sharon married the love of her life, Michael Middleton, and together they built a beautiful life in Bristol. Their remarkable partnership of 57 years was a true testament to their love, loyalty, and dedication to one another. Together, they raised two daughters, Michelle and Marci, who were the joy of her life. In addition to her husband, Michael, Sharon leaves behind her daughters, Michelle Middleton and Marci Aldi and her husband, Nick; and her adored granddaughter, Brea Aldi, who was her pride and joy. She also leaves her brother, Kevin O'Connor and his wife, Nancy; her sister-in-law, Lucille Middleton; as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews whom she loved deeply. Family meant everything to Sharon, and many of her cousins were among her closest friends. She cherished lifelong friendships that began in childhood and continued throughout her life. To those fortunate enough to know her, Sharon was not just a friend, but family. Her kindness, laughter, and genuine heart will be forever missed by all whose lives she touched. She was predeceased by her parents; her father-in-law, Harold Middleton; her brother, Bryan O'Connor and his wife, Susan O'Connor; her brother-in-law, Anthony Middleton; and her nieces, Stacey Middleton and Carrie Middleton Walsh. Family and friends may call on (TODAY) Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Avenue, Bristol. Sharon's service will begin on Thursday, October 16, 2025, with calling hours from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Funk Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, 235 Maltby Street, Bristol. Sharon will be lovingly laid to rest privately. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Sharon's memory to the American Cancer Society.
