Sharon Moore, of Rising Fawn, GA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2025. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 61 years, Gary Moore, three children: Becca Moore of Marietta, Gary Moore Jr. of Hawaii, and Shelley Marshall (Brent) of Macon, and her very special dog, Bella. She is also survived by her brothers Jimmy Reeves (Linda) and Jerry Reeves (Gail). Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Wayland Eugene and Betty Wooten Reeves, as well as her brothers Wayland and Bobby Reeves. She will be dearly missed by her best friends Doug and Jean Wheeler and their family, along with in-laws Pam Reeves, Larry Moore (Carolyn), and Gail Hedden (Lee) and cousin Charles Williams Roberts. Sharon loved her nephew Josh Reeves and niece Chancie Knaby (Michael) as though they were her own children, and she held a special place in her heart for Chancie's children, Zoey and Sawyer. She also leaves behind many close friends and beloved nieces, nephews and relatives who she loved hosting in her home over the years. Born and raised in Rising Fawn, Sharon graduated from Dade County High School in 1965, where she was very active in school life and forged friendships that lasted a lifetime. She was helping plan her 60th class reunion at the time of her passing. When Sharon and Gary moved to Atlanta, her career in consumer finance led her to the corporate offices of Fleet Financial (formerly Southern Discount) and, ultimately, to a distinguished 40-year career in the industry. Over the years, she rose through leadership positions and was well known for her ability to inspire and motivate those around her. Sharon built high-performing teams, mentored countless professionals, and was deeply respected for her vision, grit, integrity, and ability to bring out the best in others. Even in retirement, she continued to consult and share her expertise, teaching leadership courses for AFSA at Marquette University and more recently at Mercer University. In addition to her professional achievements, Sharon gave generously of her time and talents, serving on numerous community, church, and professional boards throughout her life. She grew up in the Rising Fawn Baptist Church and was a current member of Trenton Methodist Church and the very special ladies' WWW C-Group. Since returning home to Rising Fawn in retirement, she contributed greatly through her service on the Industrial Development Authority and as a member of the Dade County Public Library Board. As a gracious Airbnb Superhost, she welcomed guests with the same warmth she showed everyone in her life, earning a perfect five-star rating. She loved all things beautiful-flowers, music, travel, and literature-and she shared that love openly. A passionate gardener and lifelong learner, she cultivated not only blossoms in her yard but also knowledge and creativity through her many avenues of service. Anyone who knew Sharon knew that her first loves were her family, her home, and her gardens. Her green thumb was legendary, her flower beds admired by all who saw them, and her love of creating beauty extended to every corner of her life. When she wasn't in her garden, she was spoiling her beloved Bella Dog, who was always by her side. Her compassion extended to all living creatures, never turning away an animal in need. Above all, Sharon was known for her kindness, her fierce devotion to those she loved, and her willingness to always be the first to step in and help. She leaves behind not only her cherished family and friends but also a legacy of beauty, encouragement, and generosity that will continue to bloom in all whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bethlehem Cemetery venmo @bethlehemchurch or Deer Head Cove Cemetery, 7466 Highway 11 South, Rising Fawn GA 30738, or Trenton Methodist Church.
