Sharon Moore, age 80, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Bradford Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Troy, PA. Born December 20, 1944, in Knoxville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles & Lorene (Soper) Moore.
Most of Sharon’s career was dedicated to maintaining and improving the Mansfield University campus, through cleaning and maintenance services, following in the footsteps of her late father. Both Sharon and Charles took great pride in their profession and truly cared about the students attending Mansfield University. One of her main hobbies was crafting, constantly, which influenced her to join the Knit and Knibble craft club, held weekly at Bearly Enough Quilt and Gifts. Sharon and her brother, Gary, had a very strong bond and could often be seen out socializing at local eateries, MU sporting events, or simply taking a scenic drive with no destination. Her soft-spoken and kind-hearted nature will be missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Gary Richard Moore, of Mansfield; several cousins; and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, Charles & Lorene, she was preceded in death by her 5-year-old brother, Charles Edward Moore.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Sharon’s name to the American Diabetes Association, Eastern PA Chapter, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116.
