Bruce Allen Moore

Bruce Allen Moore, age 77, of Stover, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 23, 1948, in Miami, Florida, son of John Floyd Moore and Eva Cortez (Baker) Drew.

On August 2, 1968, in Kansas City, Missouri, he was united in marriage to his surviving wife, Karen "Kay" (Odam) Moore.

Bruce was a member of the First Baptist Church in Laurie and loved to play the guitar for the Lord.

In addition to his wife, Karen, he is survived by his children, Angela Marie Tipton, John Michael Moore (Belinda) and Renee VanAlst (Lewis); grandchildren, Joshua Moore, Jessica Campbell, Justin Moore, Jennifer Moore, Justina Lung, Caleb Moore and Joel Moore; twenty-three great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John Moore, his mother, Eva Drew, a son, Bruce Allen Moore, Jr., a brother, David and two sisters, Patricia and Alice.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jenny with Lake Regional Hospice for her exceptional care and compassion. Also, they would like to thank their beloved church family at the First Baptist Church in Laurie for their unwavering love and support during this difficult time.

A celebration of Bruce's life with a luncheon to follow will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, January 31st, at the First Baptist Church in Laurie with Pastor Duskey Graham and Pastor James Harrod officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, Saturday, at the church.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
