Sharon Elizabeth Newsome of Ahoskie, NC, affectionately called "Piggy Meat" or "Riding" entered eternal rest on Monday, September 29, 2025, at ECU Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie, NC. A native of Hertford County, NC, she was born on November 27, 1978, to Queenie Newsome and Chester Privott. She leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Queenie Newsome of Ahoskie, NC; father, Chester Privott of Elberton, GA; maternal grandmother, Ruby Outlaw of Ahoskie, NC; three sisters, Monica Privott and LaSonya Williams, both of Ahoskie, NC, and Tamika Horton of Clayton, SC; six aunts, Louise Moody, Willia Mae Outlaw, Patricia Privott Brynat (Mike), Edna Weaver and Phyllis Harrell all of Ahoskie, NC and Cynthia Privott of Edenton, NC; two uncles, Raymond Privott of Elberton, GA and Elmo Sessoms (Jeanie) of Henderson, NC; six nieces, three nephews; great great nieces and three great nephews; a host cousins other relatives and friends.
