With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sharon Ann Nimis, who lived a life full of love, adventure, and cherished family moments.
Sharon found joy in life's simple pleasures - RV trips in the winter, mother-daughter adventures to Las Vegas, NASCAR races, and evenings spent at the casino, playing the slots or enjoying dinners at Black Bear Casino. A lifelong lover of racing and classic cars, she shared her passion with family and friends, making every car show and race a special event.
Home was on 30 peaceful acres in Hinckley, where she delighted in feeding the deer and growing a breathtaking garden of petunias. Country music filled her days, with Kid Rock always holding a special place in her heart. She was an avid reader, a fan of Law & Order, and never missed a chance to rewatch Titanic.
Above all, family was her greatest joy. A devoted grandmother, she was always active in the lives of her grandkids-sneaking them a little extra cash when she could-and she especially cherished her new great-granddaughter, Ellie. Working alongside her husband, Paul, as the owner of multiple businesses-notably National Chevy Association as well as the former Rack and Cue pool hall in the Phalen Shopping Center-she not only built successful enterprises throughout her life but also provided opportunities for many of her family members to work alongside her. She embraced business and leisure with warmth, generosity, and an unforgettable spirit.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and memories that will be treasured forever.
Sharon Ann Nimis is survived by spouse Paul Nimis; her children Sherri Friedrich and Jeff Nimis (Jennifer Nimis); her beloved grandchildren Alyssa Hansen (Jonathan Hansen), Carly Friedrich (Zachary Pulsifer), and Andy Nimis; and her great-granddaughter Ellie Hansen.
A celebration of Sharon's life will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 11:00am at Willwerscheid Funeral Home (1167 Grand Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55105). If you would like to send flowers, a preferred vendor is .
