Sharon M. Ofcarcik

Douglas- Sharon M. Ofcarcik, 62, formerly of Hayward Landing, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026 at UMass Memorial Hospital University Campus in Worcester after a period of declining health.

She is survived by her son, Mathew R. Ofcarcik, and his wife, Ashley A. Ofcarcik, of S. Weymouth. She is also survived by her 3 siblings, Karen L. Heredia and her husband Gustavo of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Susan J. Richard and her husband Brian of Uxbridge, and Richard J. Ofcarcik and his wife Kathryn of Chester, NH; 6 grandchildren, Benjamin, Logan, Zelda, Declan, Charlotte, with Mathew Jr on the way along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Born in Northbridge on June 22, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Joseph R. "Dick" and Janet (Lee) Ofcarcik and grew up in Douglas; living in town most of her life.

Sharon graduated from Douglas Memorial High School in 1981. She dedicated over 20 years of her life working as a Certified Nursing Assistant, providing compassionate care to residents at the former Providence House Nursing Home in Millbury and the former Beaumont Nursing Home in Northbridge. She found joy in spending time with friends and family, cooking meals, and relaxing on the couch with a Dunkin's iced coffee and crocheting. She loved her son and grandchildren more than anything and enjoyed spending quality time with them. Sharon was known for her positive and upbeat spirit, her strength, and her kind heart. She never turned anyone away and was always willing to help, often giving her last dollar to someone in need. Her generosity and warmth touched the lives of many.

She was a devout daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother and will be sorely missed.

In accordance with her wishes, Sharon will be cremated, and her family will celebrate her life privately. Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the St. Denis Food Pantry, 23 Manchaug St., Douglas, MA 01516.
