Sharon Kay Patterson, age 80, died on June 28, 2024, at the Swedish Medical Center, Englewood, Colorado. She was born on June 2, 1944, in rural Trego County, Kansas the daughter of Lawrence and Elba (Ross) Berry.
Sharon married Theodore Patterson on March 10, 1960, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Together, they raised their four sons in Quinter. Sharon worked for her parents in the family restaurant in Quinter and she was also well known as the lunch lady in the Quinter High School. She later worked as a custodian for the Quinter Brethren Church and Golden Plains Credit Union. She was a member of the Quinter United Methodist Church and a former Ladies Auxiliary President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Arie #3774, WaKeeney. Her favorite pastime was bowling in local leagues and state bowling tournaments, but she loved to watch her boys' and her grandchildren's athletic events and spend time with family and going on family vacations. Sharon will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Ted and her four sons, Kevin (Deb) Patterson of Scottsbluff, NE, granddaughter, Kayla (Jon) Rehnberg, great-grandchildren Addison and Kennedy and grandson, Miles (Amanda) Patterson, great grandchildren, Kaidyn, Kaleb, and Max; Keith (Susan) Patterson of Sterling, KS, grandson, Brett (Estefania) Patterson and great-grandson Santiago, grandson, Bryant (Katie) Patterson, great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Isabelle; Theodore "Butch" (Rachelle) Patterson, Jr. of Hoyt, KS, granddaughter, Whitney (Nathan) Decker, great-grandchildren, Cevin, Tevin, Teyla, Jaxon, and Chace, granddaughter, Christina (Matt) Henry, great grandchildren, Hudson and Kason, and grandson, Kyle (Emma) Patterson; Randy (Nike) Patterson of Quinter, KS, granddaughter, Allyson (Zach) Blurton, great-grandchildren, Zannah and Acelyn; and her extended family from Durango, Mexico, the Dominguez family: Rafael, Chuy, Gabby, Juan Carlos, Alfredo, Brenda, and Juan, whom she considered her other children. Ted and Sharon hosted the family while they lived in Quinter. She is also survived by numerous Nieces and Nephews. She cherished their close relationships and frequent visits.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Audine (Dale) Richards, Donna (Jim) Dugan, Carol (Gary) Zerr, and her brother, Larry (Reva) Berry.
Memorial Contributions may be given to the Quinter Ambulance Service.
Inurnment in the Baker Township cemetery will take place at a later date.
