Sharon Kay Patterson

Mrs. Sharon Kay (Smith) Patterson of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born August 25, 1945, in Newport, the daughter of Thomas Lee and Ada L. (Kinder) Smith.

Mrs. Patterson attended Swifton High School. A devoted homemaker, she dedicated her life to caring for her home and others. Mrs. Patterson took great pride in creating a warm and welcoming place for those she loved.

Mrs. Patterson loved working outside and tending to her flowers. She was truly a wonderful person, sweet and genuine in every way. She believed strongly in honesty and lived her life with grace and a heart full of love.

Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Roland Patterson; a brother, Andrew Montgomery; four sisters, Mildred Saffel, Mary Lou Smith, Joyce Huskey, and Ruby Mae Richardson; two grandchildren, Teddy Ray Daigle and Levi Patterson; and her parents.

She is survived by her son, Tommy Patterson and wife, Monica, of Heber Springs; her daughter, Carolyn Kay Daigle and husband, Ray, of Sulphur Rock; a sister, Linda Kay Jones and husband, Charlie, of Portia; two grandchildren, Matt Patterson and Lindsey Patterson, both of Heber Springs; eight great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Hayden, Trenton, Pasley, River, Marcey, Van, and Kalyn; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and a lifetime of friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Patterson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Jackson's Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Kendall Felton officiating. Interment will follow in Haynes Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Troyce Jones, Scotty Jones, Hayden Daigle, Wyatt Daigle, Trenton Daigle, and Matt Patterson. Honorary pallbearers are Timmy Montgomery, Edward Richardson, Shelby Montgomery, and Marty Montgomery.
