Sharon Parker Washington Peterson of Ahoskie, NC, transitioned to her Heavenly home on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at ECU Health Center in Greenville, NC. She was born on March 22, 1956, to the late James Washington and Mary Louise Parker Peterson in Perquimans County, NC. She was a Social Worker for the City of New York Department of Social Services. She leaves to cherish her fond memories, her husband, Nathan Peterson, Jr. of the home; three daughters, Nykia Peterson Johnson (Rasheam) of Trenton, NJ, Nathania Peterson of Trenton, NJ and Sharon G. Peterson of Ahoskie, NC; one son, Michael Peterson (Dominique) of Ahoskie, NC; two step sons, Nathan R. Peterson of Hemingway, SC and Aquino Peterson of Charlottle, NC; two sisters, Anna Ansah of Ahoskie, NC and Willie Jones (James) of Burlington, NJ; one great aunt, Barbara Brown Anderson (JT) of Brooklyn, NY; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
