Sharon Pilz Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 12, 2026.
Sharon Pilz passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on January 26, 2026, at the age of 86. She was born on April 18, 1939, in East Orange, New Jersey. Sharon's life was a testament to the enduring power of kindness and the strength of family bonds.

Sharon was the cherished daughter of the late Charles and Gladys Conklin. She carried the legacy of her parents' love and wisdom throughout her life. She was a devoted sister to her late siblings, Charles Conklin, Caryl Scully, Joyce McPhearson, and Gail Novak, and their shared memories remained a constant source of joy and comfort to her.

The heart of Sharon's life was her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Pilz, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and companionship. Together, they built a home filled with laughter and warmth.

Sharon was a loving mother to her children, Edward Pilz, Diane Imbro, and Kimberly Carr, and a caring stepmother to Wayne Pilz. Her role as a grandmother to Lacey, Lawrence, Kyle, Drew, Edward, Amber, Kayd, and Sage, and as a great-grandmother to Faith, Andrianna, Axel, Darren, and Jasper, was one she embraced with every fiber of her being. Each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was a precious gift, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Sharon was also a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Professionally, Sharon served as a dedicated administrator for First Fidelity, where her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident to all who worked alongside her.

Her interests were a reflection of her nurturing spirit. Sharon found joy in sewing and crocheting when her children were young, creating beautiful pieces ranging from Halloween costumes to ponchos and even doll clothes. She loved to bowl, play bingo, and do scratch-offs. Sharon was loved by neighborhood children and friends alike, all of whom were drawn to her kindness and generous heart.

Sharon's legacy is one of unwavering love and grace with which she lived her life. She was a woman who saw the best in people, forgave easily, and loved unconditionally. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her, and her spirit will continue in the kindness she showed, the faith she shared, and the love she gave so freely.
